Building Health Equity Webinar Series: Health Equity for Financial Literacy

Join the Institute for Public Health Practice at the University of Iowa, College of Public Health, in partnership with the Midwestern Public Health Training Center, for the sixteenth installment of the Building Health Equity webinar series, Health Equity for Financial Literacy on Wednesday, February 14th, 2024, from 1-2 PM CT. We will feature Keshia Fields, Diversity, Inclusion, and Organizational Development Specialist at Polk County, Iowa, and Lindsay Cannaday, Vice President and Business Development Director at Green State Credit Union.

We will be discussing the most pressing concerns and issues related to financial literacy through a health equity lens, addressing the barriers faced by certain populations in receiving access to financial resources they need, as well as exploring any successful practices or strategies to improve financial literacy among all population groups regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender, and other identities.

Objectives: 

  1. Discuss the most pressing concerns and issues related to financial literacy through a health equity lens.
  2. Address certain populations that face barriers to achieving financial literacy.
  3. Explore any potential partnerships or strategies to improve financial literacy among diverse population groups
