Building Health Equity Webinar Series: Building Community Partnerships to Achieve Health Equity

Join the Institute for Public Health Practice, Research and Policy at the University of Iowa, College of Public Health, in partnership with the Midwestern Public Health Training Center, for the nineteenth installment of the Building Health Equity webinar series, Building Community Partnerships to Achieve Health Equity on Wednesday, May 8th, 2024, from 1-2 PM CT. We will feature Dr. Monika Jindal, Medical Director at the GuideLink Center, and Jacquie Montoya, Public Health Program Planner at the Linn County Public Health.

Join us as we explore ways to build community partnerships, the impacts of community partnerships on health equity, barriers and challenges to building these partnerships as well as potential strategies to address these barriers.

Objectives: 

  1. Discuss ways to build community partnerships and the impacts of these partnerships on health equity
  2. Address barriers that organizations encounter when establishing community partnerships
  3. Explore effective strategies and recommendations for overcoming barriers and successfully initiating community partnerships
