About Us

Our Story

We are a team of faculty, staff, practitioners, and students from the University of Iowa College of Public Health working to build health equity.

Over a year ago, a team came together to develop, implement, and evaluate a health equity curriculum for health departments of Iowa. Having learned from our pilot implementation at a local health department, we are moving forward to expand across the state. With a group of staff, faculty, practitioners, and students we aim to establish the building blocks for a sustainable culture of health equity practice in Iowa.
